New Vision Organization is a nonprofit (501c3) dedicated to improving the quality and availability of rehabilitative services for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals in the United States.

At New Vision, we believe that prisons should be places of growth and of dignity. Since our start in 2015, our advocates have volunteered on behalf of hundreds of clients, fulfilling individual requests for anything from job skills training to medical attention.

Who We Are

Our Values

The values of New Vision guide all our decisions, activities, and services, and are as follows:

  • Advocacy — We always aim to support and protect the best interests of our clients and their families.

  • Collaboration — We collaborate with a wide variety of service providers, legal and advocacy organizations, and prison systems to maximize services and resources for clients and their families.

  • Dignity — We honor the innate human dignity of each person and do not judge clients based on their past actions or current incarcerated state.

  • Diversity — We understand that clients belong to all races, genders, ethnicities, socioeconomic statuses, etc., and we are dedicated to serving all clients equally while being sensitive to their individual identities and backgrounds.

  • Individualized Support — We know that needs vary and can change over time, and we seek to understand individual clients to co-create suitable support.

  • Integrity — We adhere to the highest level of integrity in our administrative, fiscal, service, and advocacy activities, and accordingly promise open and honest communication with clients.

  • Respect — We respect the choices of clients and encourage each client to both take responsibility for their own life and to honor the role of families in helping to shape their choices.

  • Solvency — We believe our work as service providers is important and strive to deliver our mission strategically and cost effectively to ensure sufficient resources.
