What We Do
Every day in the United States, incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals struggle to get the resources they need to feel stable and empowered.
Our advocates make a difference in the lives of individual clients by providing them the services they desperately need to increase rehabilitation and decrease recidivism.
We accept all service requests from the incarcerated and formerly incarcerated as well as their families, and we try our best to accommodate each individual by either providing them service in-house or by connecting them with partner organizations.
Our most common requests include:
-
Medical care, or assistance in addressing medical neglect by prison staff
-
Legal advice and research, particularly regarding appeals and the use of habeas corpus
-
Shelter, food, and financial support for those soon-to-be released
-
Tools for seeking employment upon release
-
Educational materials for use while incarcerated
If you or a loved one is in need of services relating to incarceration, please fill our service request form and email it to us at president@newvisionorg.org or mail it to us at:
